At a glance
This page is for account and portal support — signing in, codes, lockouts, and access. It is not monitored for urgent medical issues. If it’s an emergency, call 911.
Didn’t get your code?
- Wait a minute — texts and emails can be delayed — then tap Resend code.
- Check that the phone number or email shown is correct.
- Check spam or junk folders for email codes.
- If you ever replied STOP to our texts, text START to the same number to turn them back on, or choose email code instead.
Locked out?
In plain terms: Email us from the address on your account and we’ll help you verify your identity safely. Don’t put sensitive details in the email.
If you can’t receive codes (new phone number, lost phone) or your account is locked, email support@openmedicine.md from the email address on your account, and we’ll help you verify your identity securely. Please don’t send passwords, Social Security numbers, card numbers, your date of birth, or detailed medical information in an email.
New account or invite code
Some accounts require an invite code from the practice before registration can be completed. If you were told to register but do not have an invite code, email support from the email address you plan to use for your account.
Family or caregiver access
In plain terms: Don’t share your login. If someone else needs access, we set it up through a proper authorization.
Do not share your login code or password with someone else. If a family member, caregiver, or legal representative needs access, contact support so we can use the appropriate authorization process.
Portal messages
In plain terms: Messages are for non-urgent matters only. For anything urgent, call 911 or get in-person care.
Portal messages are for non-urgent matters. Do not use portal messages for chest pain, stroke symptoms, trouble breathing, severe allergic reactions, suicidal thoughts, severe bleeding, or other urgent symptoms. Call 911 or seek urgent in-person care.
For medical questions, prescription requests, forms, or new symptoms, the practice may ask you to schedule a visit instead of handling the request by message.
